If you use cooking sprays, this Carlini Olive Oil Spray from Aldi is one you absolutely must try!
Carlini Olive Oil Cooking Spray |
I think this stuff is fantastic! Save the other vegetable oil sprays for greasing cake pans - this is the spray oil you want to use for light sauteing. I've also used it to lightly dress a salad tossed with balsamic vinegar and it worked perfectly!
It's basically nothing but Extra Virgin Olive Oil - but be aware, it does have just a bit of soy lecithin in it. If you need to be concerned with soy products, it might be an issue for you. Check the ingredients label and use your best judgement...
So easy to use, and as usual, the Carlini Olive Oil Spray from Aldi is a lot less expensive than the national brands at other stores! This one's another DEFINITE BUY!

I use olive oil a lot because of the health benefits. I do have canned olive oil spray but in the instance that you don't, but have bought a bottle of good evoo, I recommend buying a Misto bottle. I found mine on a 50% off rack at a major department store here in Alabama. You fill the container and when ready to use, all you do is give it a few pumps and then spray. You can probably find one at Amazon. I tend to use this when I get good evoo with coupons (sometimes you can't find everything at Aldi although they are improving all the time.) Just an idea. I haven't compared the cost of using my Misto with bottled evoo compared to the cost of a spray can but with the Misto, it is pure olive oil.
ReplyDeleteI've seen those spray bottles at the "other" grocery store I shop at, but I haven't tried them. It does sound like a great idea!
Delete..except that they get nasty and are difficult to properly clean.
