Aldi Review: Beaumont Donut Store Blend Coffee

This will be a very easy review to write - it's also going to be a short one because there's just not a lot to say!

For less than the price of a couple of cups of coffee at Dunkin' Donuts, I was able to purchase this 12oz package of Beaumont Donut Store Blend (which will make up to 40 6oz cups).

And, its good coffee. Not just "okay" coffee, but GOOD coffee. It's just that simple. Nice, full flavor without any hint of bitterness. This coffee is every bit as good as any coffee you'll get at the donut drive-thru, and at a fraction of the cost. And THAT, my friend, is good value!

  1. I haven't tried the Donut Store coffee or this House Blend, but I do buy the Beaumont French Roast in the purple bag which is strong, dark & consistently good.
However, at my last trip I also purchased a bag of 'Ground Fair Trade Dark Roast' in the brown bag and did not like it.
The grounds are very pale compared to the French Roast, and when I open the bag I immediately smell chocolate - not coffee. I'm sure cocoa has been added to this product. The coffee didn't taste like a dark roast - and I think I would need to use alot more grounds to get the taste I prefer. I'm taking it back to the store.

  2. I make a special trip to Aldi for Donut Store Coffee. I am particular about my coffee. Life is just too short for bad coffee. This is a great brew at half the price of comparable beans.
