New Aldi Stores And Some Remodeling!

Aldi is not only opening new stores across the US - according to Grocery.com, they're also remodeling some of their existing stores! The website gives the example of the Aldi store at North Clybourn Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, which underwent an 11-week, million dollar make-over.  Nice!

If any of the Aldi brass happen to be reading - I'd like to nominate a couple of the stores in my area for a facelift (hint hint)!

Aldi will be opening a new store on October 6 in Huntsville, Alabama, according to al.com. Aldi will also open a second store in the area on the 20th of October. Congratulations to the Aldi shoppers in northern Alabama!

This is certainly good news! Competition for the grocery shopper's dollar is fierce, and I think this shows Aldi's commitment to their existing markets, as well as their ongoing expansion into new markets. Aldi is doing well here in the States, and with the current economic situation, I think they've got PLENTY of opportunity to grow...
