Great Article: "Behind the Scenes with Aldi Supermarket"

I just ran across a fabulous article written by Amy Clark of the website momadvice.com. On her website blog, which she calls The Motherload, she describes her behind-the scenes visit, where she had the opportunity to tour a store, ask questions, and participate in wine tastings and "blind taste-tests" of various Aldi products to see how they compared with the national brands!

Amy is a long-time Aldi fan, and says she was fascinated with the whole experience, "If I was a fan girl of Aldi before, this trip took it to another level for me. I can confidently say that this store is THE place for families on a budget.  I promise, you will not be disappointed."

You can read Amy's entire article here. While you're there, check out the rest of her site - she's got loads of recipes and other Aldi information!

  1. Great article. Have you ever reviewed Aldi's wines?

  2. I'm afraid I haven't had the opportunity - I live in a state where Aldi doesn't sell beer or wine. 8^(

Have you had any? It sounds like Amy was pretty impressed with a couple of the one's she tasted...

  3. I have my parents bring Aldi's NZ wine to me from Florida, as I too live in a no-wine state. Having lived in New Zealand for 2 years, I can honestly say that Aldi's NZ wine is as excellent as any I tasted while there (and I tasted quite a few)! At only $6/bottle, it's mind blowing!

  4. That's great to know - I certainly won't hesitate to try them when I get the chance! I have to travel the US off and on for my "real" job, and there's a possibility I'll be in So Florida after the first of the year. Maybe I'll get the chance then!
