You've probably seen the "Switch and Save" pages in the weekly sales flyer. Now it looks like they're bringing the concept into the store itself. Aldi is getting serious about going head-to-head with the national brands - and they're giving the customer a chance to try before they buy!

I have to say that would be the best way to convince people to try Aldi's a taste testing in the store on occasion. I am still afraid sometimes to buy a new product, as I know I won't return it, almost no matter. To be honest, how? I feel like I heel just interrupting the cashier to get a dadblasted quarter. They always have a line.
ReplyDeleteI agree - this is a great idea! I'm sure they'll do well with it. They're obviously confident enough that their products will stand up to the national brands - and I agree that in MOST cases they do.
ReplyDeleteAnd I got WAY past feeling "guilty" for returning an item I didn't like. I figure if they've already made a big deal about their DOUBLE guarantee - they're already expecting folks to return things now and then. It's just an everyday part of doing business. Nothing personal, just business.
