New Aldi Food Market Opens in Wexford, Pennsylvania!
Here's a link to nice article with lots of great pictures by Cindy Cusic Micco, editor of the Pine-Richland edition of patch.com - click here for the story! The store is located at 11800 Perry Hwy, Wexford, PA 15090 - that's a suburb on the north side of Pittsburgh.
And what a NICE looking store! I love the balloons at the entrance for the ribbon-cutting - nice touch, Aldi!

I love Aldi! I wonder if you stock my fave choc in the States - Moser Roth mint. I love it. I eat a box a day! Lovely to meet you after you commented on my blog Get In the Hot Spot. I also share blogging tips at Successful Blogging.com which you might find handy:)
ReplyDeleteKeep blogging!
We DO get the Moser Roth Chocolates here! Aldi is a somewhat different animal here than in other parts of the world - for example, I long for the day when we get here the range of Indian curries, etc that Aldi stock in Australia. I fear I'll be waiting quite a while!
ReplyDeleteI subscribe to your tips over at Successful Bloggging.com, and have found them very helpful - I'd certainly recommend anyone with a blog to take a look!
Hey Jeff,
ReplyDeleteStill on the Aldi love train - wondered if you'd seen these funny Aldi UK TV ads. You think Aldi could punch up its image here in the States, or what? http://www.susanhardy.org/2011/10/commercials-aldis-cheeky-uk-tv-ads.html
Hi Susan, oh yeah I've seen 'em - brilliant! I think bringing that kind of campaign here would win all kinds of fans!
ReplyDeleteI'm a convert and say... KEEP 'em coming to Pittsburgh! I need a closer one in the South Hills though. All of my nearest Aldi's are 20-25 minutes away. Doesn't stop me from shopping there though. Found you through the Motherload ;)
ReplyDeleteI hear you Crafty - and thanks for stopping by! Aldi is opening new stores all the time, and I'm sure they'll be opening more in the 'Burgh - hopefully soon! Seems like they've been concentrated more in the southern states this fall, but they're springing up EVERYWHERE!
ReplyDeleteI don't always catch all the press releases, but I'll be posting on the blog when I hear of more Grand Openings and such...
